Dr. John Lenz is a native of the Wilmington area. He attended Salesianum School and the University of Delaware before entering dental school at Temple Univeristy. Upon graduation from dental school, he served 4 years in the Army Dental Corps being stationed in Oklahoma and Germany. After leaving the Army Dental Corp, Dr. Lenz returned to Wilmington and entered private practice. He has been serving the patients of the Wilmington area for over 35 years.
Dr. Lenz is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Delaware State Dental Society. He has held the positions of chairman of the peer review board, secretary, and treasurer of the Delaware State Dental Society. He is a member of both the First State Dental Study Club and Omega Dental Study Club. He has been a clinical instructor in the general practice residency program at Christiana Care Health Services for over 20 years.
Dr. Lenz is very committed to staying current with the latest in dental techniques and technology. He takes over 100 hours of Continuing Education each year. He received his Invisalign certification in 2006, and is active in several dental study clubs.
Dr. Lenz is also very involved in community service. He is a Special Olympics dental volunteer, a Give Kids A Smile Day dental volunteer, a Ministry of Caring dental volunteer, and has recently completed a dental mission to the under served areas of Jamaica with the University of Pittsburgh.
During his time outside the office, Dr. Lenz enjoys golfing, skiing, windsurfing, traveling, and spending time with his wife, 4 children, and 3 grandchildren. |
